Third Study Period Productions Third study period students will be involved in three mounted productions for the general public. Casting directors and agents will be invited. Please note: Casting will be determined by the director in much the same way as in the profession, usually through an audition. In the final analysis, emphasis is on showcasing the strengths of the students. In other words, there is no guarantee that everyone will have a lead role. Contemporary Production Generally focusing on a realistic play (1945-2000) emphasizing relationships in a naturalistic and/or realistic genre. Book Musical Production With an emphasis on singing and dancing from a specific book musical from a chosen period; anywhere from as early as Showboat to as current as Rent. |
