Randolph Academy to Premiere Stage Adaptation of
I HIRED A CONTRACT KILLERby Aki Kaurismäki at Toronto Fringe 2013

 

In keeping with the Toronto Fringe tradition of presenting emerging artists and supporting new works, the Randolph Academy will present the North American premiere of I Hired a Contract Killer by Aki Kaurismäki at the 2013 Toronto Fringe Festival. This is the first-ever stage adaptation of the Finnish auteur’s cult favorite film of the same name that featured a soundtrack by The Clash’s Joe Strummer. [ more ]

Kids Program 2013-2014 Registration Begins Today!

After an action-packed weekend at the Kids Program Year-End Showcase, registration begins today for the 2013-2014 Kids Program. Applications are currently being taken for all classes -- Dance (ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop), Triple Threat and Acting-- as well as Randolph Dance Crew and Randolph Glee Choir. 20 Years After A Kiss

May 3, 2013 was a special day in the history of the Randolph Academy. It was the 20th anniversary of the Broadway premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman starring Chita Rivera and the then up-and-coming Canadian actor Brent Carver. Considered Canada's most successful musical, Kiss went on to receive seven 1993 Tony Awards --a record for a Canadian-produced musical that stands to this day.
